Press Releases

Everytime I mention this as a possible Internet Marketing tool my clients immediate reaction is, "It's too hard, I don't know how to do it, and it would be too time consuming."

What they fail to realize in the beginning is that the value of free press cannot be denied. Every mention of you in the media is another opportunity for someone to find you and your product/service.

Creating good Press Releases does take time and a certain "finess" with words. It is not an expensive process... especially with services like PRWeb so readily available.

So when do you send out a Press Release? I'll send out one when this new version of my site goes live. Anything major happening in your company? Mention it on your website... create a page for news releases to keep your clients/potential clients informed of what's happening. Believe it or not, people are interested in such things. Participating in a charity event? Send out a Press Release!

So when do you find the time to do all of this? How do you know how to format a Press Release? Find a reliable web developer or copy writer who can put together releases for you. Who knows... maybe your article will get picked up by a local paper and they'll want to interview you... you'll end up with a front page story... free press... You've got to love that!
