Website Design and Implementation
Many of our clients have come to us unsure of whether or not a website was a good idea for their company. In fact, some people have come to us, and after our intense needs analysis process, it has been determined that a website is not a good fit for their company at that time.
That is our policy at Silken Strand Web Solutions. We are upfront and honest with you about whether or not your company should have a website. In most cases, we determine that a website is appropriate, based on what the clients competitors are doing in the marketplace, and what people are looking for online.
After we make that determination, we evaluate whether or not we are a good fit for your needs. In some cases we have recommended to clients a web developer whose specialties more closely fit what they need. In most cases we find that the experience and knowledge that we bring will enhance your website, providing you with a useful tool to reach the online masses.
Once the contracts are signed and the customary deposits are paid, we purchase any necessary domain names and set up your website hosting. We then begin working on 2 layouts (typically). This gives you, our client, the ability to provide feedback and determine what the best look is for your organization. We narrow down our layouts to one and once that is approved we are ready to begin working on content.
Content is typically supplied by the customer, and then reviewed and reworded by us to make it more search engine friendly. Each step of the process is approved by you, our client, so that you are certain that the work is progressing in a way that you are comfortable with.
Once the site is complete and approved in all areas it is ready for release or "go live." The site is then made available to the world. Following this our work is still not completed. We submit your site to search engines and stay with you for a 30 day bug-out period, during which we allow you to change the content of your pages.
Should you require ongoing maintenance, we can provide that as well. Should you need in-depth site marketing we can stick with you and help you bring your site to its full potential.
