Silken Strand employed a new e-commerce package allowing SMD Wynne to add, delete and modify products, create unique shipping rates, put various items on special, and provide up sale opportunities. The new site employs a very clean look and has a running total shopping cart.

Silken Strand’s involvement didn’t stop there. We recommended a merchant gateway package to serve the financial needs of the organization and installed a secure socket layer to ensure that client transactions were kept private.

Two months after going live SMD Wynne contacted us about another business line they offered. They were so pleased with the results of the first website they wanted us to do another. Two months after that site went live we were contacted again. This time we discussed how the sites were doing. They were excited about the Superior Marine Division site, but that was nothing compared to the original website they had us take care of.

Having just released an ad they were thrilled with the results. Typically people would go out and review their items online and then call with an order. Jenifer Wynne stated that instead of getting phone calls they were busy filling the orders that came through their website. Their clients had found the site user friendly enough that they were anxious to do business that way. Now time spent answering the phone was now being spent filling orders.
