Helpful Hints A picture may be worth a thousand words, but overuse of graphics on a web page can kill any hope you have of making a sale. Pictures and graphics increase the time it takes for a website to come up on the screen. Statistically people won’t wait more than 10 seconds for a page to load in our microwave inspired world. Use images sparingly; make them matter! When you use an image make sure that it is sized correctly before you put it into your web page. Make sure you tell the website how big the picture is. This prevents the browser from having to think about it before loading it. Be certain to use alt tags for those who have images turned off. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a correctly placed picture
is worth much more! Avoid These Common Mistakes Do you want more visitors to your website? Of course you do, because more visitors means more business right? That’s the fallacy many businesses fall into when marketing themselves online. Online marketing is similar to other marketing tools in that you want to target your marketing to your audience. Whether you are doing search engine optimization, pay per click, or banner ads you must take care to market your website to the right audience. Do your research (or hire us to do it for you) to
determine who your target audience is and how they are looking for
you. What keywords/key phrases are they looking at when searching
for someone who provides the products and services you offer? Employ
those words in a measurable targeted manner and sit back and enjoy
the results.
